A pine table can be a great addition to nearly any room in the house. The natural ability of pine to take nearly any color stain makes it the ideal material for creating furniture, and tables in particular. Whether you’re looking for a large dining room table or a small nightstand, chances are you can find it in pine.

For many people, an unfinished pine table can be preferable to anything that can be found in the average furniture store. While these tables might not convey the same sense of refinement, their simple, honest nature is one of their most attractive features. In fact, for some people, building such a table is often a more popular option than trying to purchase one.

Of course, not every pine table has to have that rustic aesthetic. Many of these tables can be quite refined and ornate, especially those that have been custom made. Hand-turned legs and an elegantly shaped tabletop are typical on such tables.
